Setting Zoom as default video call provider

Connect with your clients using Zoom, a platform for hosting online video sessions on any device. Keep reading to learn how to:

Before you begin:

Make sure you’ve enabled the Video call integration feature in your workspace. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Features and select Video call integrations.

  1. Enable the feature.

Keep in mind: Video call integration is a Premium feature, so you need a Premium or Premium Plus ExpertBox subscription to connect Zoom to your workspace. Learn how to upgrade your workspace.

Step 1 — Select Zoom as a default video call provider for workspace

Once the Video call integration feature is enabled, you can choose Zoom as the default video call provider. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Settings, and click Video call settings.

  1. Select Zoom as your default video call provider for your workspace.

  1. Click Save changes.

Keep in mind: To start having online appointments via Zoom, each team member needs to connect their Zoom account individually. Until then, they are going to communicate via ExpertBox video call.

Step 2 — Connect your Zoom account 

Once Zoom is selected as the default video call provider, all experts in your workspace will get an email asking them to connect their individual Zoom accounts. Here’s how to do this:

  1. Click your workspace name in the top right corner of the screen.

  1. Select Integrations in the menu.
  2. Go to the Video call tab.
  3. Next to Zoom, click Connect. You will be redirected to the Zoom sign-in page in a new browser tab. 

  1. Log into your Zoom account and grant ExpertBox access to it. 
  2. Once Zoom is connected, ExpertBox will automatically generate Zoom links for all your online appointments. 

Congratulations! You’ve successfully connected your Zoom account as a video call provider on ExpertBox, offering seamless video call appointments to your clients. 

Disconnect your Zoom account

If you ever wish to disconnect your Zoom account, you can do so from the Video call integrations page. Here’s how:

  1. Click your workspace name in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Select Integrations in the menu.

  1. Go to the Video call tab.
  2. Next to Zoom, click Disconnect.

  1. Select Disconnect once again to confirm.

Once Zoom is disconnected, Zoom invite links won’t be added to new online appointments anymore. You can still meet your clients online via ExpertBox video calls instead. 

Keep in mind: This won’t affect any appointments that already have Zoom links.

Remove ExpertBox app from your Zoom account

If you ever wish to remove the ExpertBox app from your Zoom account, here’s how to do it:

  1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Click Manage > Added Apps or search for the "ExpertBox Integrations" app.
  3. Click the ExpertBox Integrations app.
  4. Click Remove.

Keep in mind: Once you remove the ExpertBox app from your Zoom account, Zoom invite links won’t be added to new online appointments anymore. This won’t affect any appointments that already have Zoom links.
