Set up your widget

Time to go live! There are three ways you can let clients book appointments with you via ExpertBox:

Whichever option you choose, you’ll need to create a widget first. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Widgets and click + Add widget.

Now let’s set up your widget! Keep reading to learn how to:

Step 1 Set up your widget

Give your widget a unique name

You can have as many widgets as you like for different web pages, so you’ll want to create a unique name for each.

Tip: Get as creative as you like; your widget’s name won’t be visible to clients.

Customize your widget’s appearance

Customize your booking widget to fit your brand. Choose your primary brand color  and add your logo or profile image. Here’s how:

  • Choose a primary color

In the Appearance section, under Style setup, select the primary color of your widget. You can choose one of our default colors from the color picker, or you can select any other color by entering its HEX code (in the format #XXXXXX).

Uploading your logo is a great way to brand your booking page. You can upload images up to 10 MB in size in JPG or PNG format.

Step 2 Add services & experts

By default, your widget will be empty and won’t have any services connected to it. You can choose which services you want to display on a particular widget. This can be especially handy if you want to use different platforms for advertising different services.

Keep in mind: You can connect only active services with at least one expert assigned to them. Read our guide to learn more about how to create services and assign experts to them.

  1. While editing your widget, go to the Services & Experts tab.
  2. Choose the services you want to offer through your widget.
  3. Click Save.

Tip: If you don’t have any active services with assigned experts, click Manage services to create a new service or edit an existing service.

Step 3 Choose how you want to integrate your widget

T here are three ways to make use of an ExpertBox widget:

Tip: You don’t have to decide on one option; all three are always available to you.

Side widget

A side widget is a convenient floating button in the corner of your website that launches a booking form as a pop-up. A side widget can also be added as a link anywhere on your website — for example, as a menu item.

Tip: Read our guide to learn how to add an ExpertBox side widget to your website and customize it.

Embedded widget

An embedded widget lets you seamlessly fit the booking panel right into the content on your website, anywhere you like. Simply copy the block of code and paste it into your website.

Tip: If you don’t know how to do this, you can forward the code to your system administrator. Just enter their email address and click Send instructions.

Custom booking page

A custom booking page is a standalone web page that can be accessed via a link you create. You can easily share this link by email and on social networks, making it a great way to let clients book appointments with you even if you don’t have your own website.

Tip: Read our guide to learn how to set up and share a custom booking page.
