To start getting appointments, you need to tell clients about the services you provide. This guide will help you create a service and set its scheduling rules.
To create a service, go to Services > All services and click + Add service.
Step 1 — Add service details
Tell clients about your service. They’ll see this information when making an appointment, so be sure to include a short description!
Step 2 — Configure service settings
To help you make the most of your time, let’s set rules for making appointments.
Time slots by duration of your meeting let clients book appointments back to back.
Let’s say you provide a service which lasts 1 hour. Your clients will be able to book appointments at 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, etc.
Pros: All of your time is bookable.
Cons: Less flexibility for your clients.
Time slots by custom interval let your clients book appointments in 15, 30, or 45-minute periods. The shorter the interval, the more options your clients will have.
Let’s say you provide a service which lasts 1 hour. If you choose a 15-minute interval, your clients will see available time slots at 9:00, 9:15, 9:30. 9:45, 10:00, etc.
Pros: More flexibility for your clients.
Cons: Some of the time may become not bookable because the time gap is shorter than the service duration.
Add a buffer time before a meeting starts, after it ends, or both before and after meetings. This will let you have a short break and prepare for the next meeting.
Minimum lead time and maximum future time
Minimum lead time sets how far in advance clients may book appointments.
Let’s say, you choose 3 days as your minimum lead time. Then a client who books an appointment on August, 10 will see the nearest time slots starting from August, 13.
Maximum future time restricts how far ahead clients may book new appointments.
Let’s say, you set 10 days as your maximum future time. Then a client who books an appointment on August, 10 won’t be able to book any appointments later than August, 20.
Refund and rescheduling rules
Decide if your clients will get a refund when canceling a meeting. You can also set how far in advance they can reschedule.
If you have a Pro or Plus subscription plan, you can let your team members and/or clients record meetings. Just click the toggles to activate this option.
Choose if you’re going to collect payments via Stripe. This option is available for users with Pro and Plus subscriptions only.
Step 3 — Assign team members and add prices
If you have a personal workspace, all services will be assigned to you automatically. All you need to do is just add a price for your service.
If you’re a team workspace owner or administrator, you can assign your team members to a service. Here’s how to do it:
- Type the name of the team member or select them from the Expert dropdown list.
- Add a price for the service provided by the team member. You can add multiple team members to one service if they charge the same price.
- To set a different price for another service provider, click + Add expert with another price.
- Click Create.
The service has been created. Now you can see it in your list of services.
